HallCraft Team Get Into Gear For Run Fest 26 Ben Fundraiser

Six members of the HallCraft team are getting ready to tackle a different kind of circuit as they prepare to run 10k at Run Fest 2026 in aid of Ben – Support for Life.

The team will head to Silverstone on Sunday, November 22, to raise money for Ben, a charity that supports people working, or who have worked, in the automotive industry and their family dependants.

Training is already in full swing, with running shoes being serviced and tuned in the workshop to deliver optimum performance. We’re still working out whether a diagnostic check can explain aching legs, but there’s certainly no shortage of enthusiasm.

Now they need your support and would love you to donate to back their efforts – via this link.

Determined

For a team more accustomed to keeping customers’ vehicles running smoothly, preparing to cover 10 kilometres on foot presents a fresh challenge. There will be no engines to rely on at Silverstone this time, just six pairs of trainers, plenty of determination and a good reason to keep going.

HallCraft has supported Ben for a number of years, taking part in charity walks and other fundraising activities. Now, six team members are preparing to take that commitment a step further.

Owner James Hopcraft said: “We’ve been supporting Ben for a number of years through charity walks and other challenges, but this is our biggest yet.

“It’s fairly daunting, if I’m honest. I keep fit in the gym, but I’m not really a runner, so taking on 10k is going to test me.

“Having six of us doing it together will help. We can encourage each other through the training and on the day, and knowing we’re raising money for Ben gives us all a good reason to keep going.

“We’d love people to get behind us. Whatever you can donate will be appreciated and will help a charity that does so much for people in our industry.”

Ben – Support For Life

Ben Support For Life provides free, confidential support for automotive people and their family dependants, helping them through challenges affecting their health, wellbeing and everyday lives. Its support extends to those who have previously worked in the industry, too.

That help can take many forms, from guidance with money worries to support for people experiencing anxiety, bereavement or physical health difficulties. Ben works with individuals to understand their circumstances and help them find a way forward.

At HallCraft, we know how much teamwork matters. Every day, people across our workshop and bodyshop use their skills to look after our customers. Supporting Ben is an opportunity to help look after people across the wider automotive community.

Six runners, one common goal

Our six runners are fitting their preparations around work and home life, building towards the challenge of completing 10k at one of motorsport’s most famous venues.

There may be some friendly competition along the way, but everyone is running for the same cause: helping Ben continue to support automotive people when life becomes difficult.

Every training run brings the team a little closer to the start line. Knowing that customers, suppliers, friends and family are backing them will provide an extra boost when the legs get tired.

Help our fundraising

If you would like to support the HallCraft team, please donate through our fundraising page:

Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated. You can also help by sharing the link with friends, family and colleagues, spreading the word about the team’s challenge and the charity behind it.

Next time you’re at HallCraft, feel free to ask how training is going. Just don’t be surprised if the conversation turns from tyre wear to trainer wear.

Thank you for supporting our six runners and helping them turn their Silverstone miles into support for Ben.

KNOCKING, CLUNKING OR SITTING LOW?Land Rover suspension systems work hard — and when something starts to wear, the first signs can be surprisingly easy to ignore. You might notice:• Knocking or clunking over bumps• Uneven ride height• A harsher or bouncier ride• Uneven tyre wear• Steering that feels less precise• Suspension or ride-height warnings on the dashboardThe cause could be anything from worn bushes, arms or dampers to an air-suspension fault, compressor issue or ride-height sensor. The important thing is to diagnose the problem properly rather than simply replacing parts until the noise disappears. At HallCraft, we combine specialist Jaguar Land Rover knowledge with modern diagnostic equipment to identify the cause and repair it correctly.Independent Jaguar Land Rover Specialists. If your Land Rover doesn’t feel or sound quite right, let us take a look.
