Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident LCV technician to join our team. Your daily tasks will include routine service and repair work, addressing MOT failure items such as brakes and suspension, as well as more involved tasks like diagnostics, timing belts and clutches.
Although we are an independent garage working on all makes & models, FORD Transit & Ranger vehicles make up a large percentage of our work. FORD experience would be a huge advantage.
All work must be performed to a very high standard and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine service and repair work on a variety of vehicles.
- Address MOT failure items, including brakes, suspension, etc.
- Undertake more complex tasks like diagnostics, timing belts and clutches.
- Conduct Vehicle Health Checks (eVHC) to illustrate to customers the condition of their vehicle.
- Use a tablet to capture images and communicate vehicle conditions to customers.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer care.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in service and repair.
- Experience working in the independent sector or a FORD dealership is an advantage but not essential.Own tool chest with a full selection of hand tools; specialist tools provided in-house.
- Understanding of customer care and use of digital tools for eVHC.
- You must be enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and passion for repairing motor vehicles, as well as a commitment to high-quality workmanship, and motivation to deliver a great customer experience.

- Competitive starting pay: £35,000.00 – £40,000.00 per year plus a performance related bonus

Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday – NO Saturdays
Qualifications:
- Service and repair experience: 5 years (required).
- At least a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Qualification (required).
- Work authorization in the United Kingdom (required).
MOT licence an advantage but not essential
