HallCraft have doubled their capacity to service and repair LCVs with the installation of the latest Stertil Koni heavy-duty FreedomLift.
The £10k investment is the eighth Stertil Koni lift to join the HallCraft team and allows the West Midlands leading independent garage to expand their services for light commercial vehicles.
Stertil Koni are the leading provider of hydraulic vehicle lifts and the new heavy-duty 5.5-tonne two-post lift allows the team to service and repair light commercial vehicles.
It is a significant investment but allows HallCraft to service vehicles such as long-wheelbase Ford Transits along with regular Ford Transits along with similar vans including Volkswagen, Mercedes, Vauxhall and Renault.
The new Stertil Koni lift also means HallCraft can service larger, heavier electric vehicles and camper vans.
“We are always looking to improve and this is a significant investment but it allows us to extend our offerings for our customers,” explained boss James Hopcraft.
“Steril Koni are the market leaders and we have been seriously impressed with their hydraulic lifts, they just never let you down.
“We bought our first Steril Koni lift second-hand when we started the business 30 years ago and it worked perfectly for nine years before we relocated and expanded.
“Since then we’ve added six three-tonne lifts, a five-tonne lift and now the new 5.5 tonnes FreedomLift so it’s clear how highly we rate Stertil Koni hydraulic lifts.
“The new 5.5 tonne version allows us to provide service and repair vehicles including long-wheel-base Ford Transit vans as well as electric vehicles which are significantly heavier than petrol and diesel variants.
“It was quite an effort to get it installed but the team did a brilliant job, once fitted it was immediately put to work.
“The concept of the FreedomLift is ingenious with telescopic support arms allowing us unhindered access to the raised vehicle.”
The Stertil Koni 2-Post FreedomLift is described as the new standard in flexibility, ergonomics, safety and reliability.
It is complete with energy-efficient LED lighting and has a wide range of adapters to work with various vehicle brands and models.
HallCraft has expanded significantly since its launch 30 years ago. They now have eight Stertil Koni lifts at their West Midlands headquarters.
HallCraft provide a full range of MOT, service and repair at their 6,200 sq ft premises in Cradley Heath and repair accident damaged vehicles at their second site, a 1,700sq ft body shop situated directly opposite their headquarters in Cradely Heath, B64 7RP.
With the new FreedomLift put to work immediately HallCraft are already taking bookings for light commercial vehicle servicing and repairs.
