HallCraft will double its capacity with a stunning new extension this summer.
The Cradley Heath based independent garage, who are celebrating their 30-year anniversary, have bold ambitions for the future.
They have acquired a unit adjacent to their existing body shop which will allow them to merge the two buildings to create a super sized body shop.

The new building effectively doubles the size of their body shop to a huge 5000 sq foot – doubling their capacity for repairs.
It will also provide increased office space, a much improved reception area, a rest room and training facility for their team.
“It is an important move for us and one that I’ve been considering for a while,” explained owner James Hopcraft.

“I’ve known for a while the building was going to be available and it was an opportunity I could not miss as we look to grow and develop as a business.
“We are working with more insurance companies than ever before providing accident repairs, and this provides us with double the capacity.
“Our original unit has two spray booths, one of which is a high-top so large vehicles and vans can be catered for, and the new area provides us with much-needed space for stripping, fitting and panel work.”

The additional space has allowed the team to have dedicated work bays in the paint shop for prep work and polishing, with plenty of room to manoeuvre in & out of the spray booths without having to move vehicles like chess pieces like before.
HallCraft has been proudly servicing Cradley Heath, Stourbridge, Dudley and Halesowen for the past 30-years.

They provide a one-stop shop for all motoring issues, and position themselves as a genuine alternative to the main dealer.
The original 6,200 sq ft service department, equipped with eight service and repair bays, a valet bay and a DVSA-approved MOT test lane, is conveniently just a 2-minute walk across the road.

The stand-alone body shop will now double in size. It is equipped with a computerised paint-mixing system, a high-top spray booth and an additional panel booth.

HallCraft’s bodyshop provides anything from smart to full accident repairs, and works with insurance companies, private individuals and fleet managers.

“HallCraft has always been able to deal with insurance companies using the insurance-approved Audatex estimating system,” James added.
“As times change, we are working with more and more fleet customers who are taking accident managed services in-house so that they themselves can manage their customers’ accidents.

“That might be a customer on a fully maintained lease contract or part of a salary sacrifice scheme; the new extension doubles our capacity to help them do this.
“It will also allow us to expand our team in the future as we continue to grow, creating more choice and opportunities for our customers.”

HallCraft has already installed two new scissor lifts in the additional space along with a new four-post wheel alignment lift to complement the existing HUNTER four-wheel alignment system.

Work is now underway to create the new office space and customer reception, with parts of the new extension already being utilised.
Work will continue throughout the year to modernise the facility and create a dynamic, customer-friendly space designed to maximise the additional space.
